Training yourself with yourself is the best way to learn to work with anger and get stronger in your no.
That is the core message of this 7-minute video where I share how I work with my anger in my day to day life.
When we visualize the person who is constantly crossing our boundaries right in front of us and we say NO out loud, we are training our nervous system that it’s okay to be us.
It’s okay to feel.
It’s okay to be.
What we’re also doing is re-parenting our inner child and saying:
“Your anger is safe with me.”
When I was a child, I got smacked or spanked for expressing anger.
There is a deep feeling of not being safe if I ever feel like expressing my truth.
I know this because my body tends to shake anytime a big truth wants to come through.
Expressing my anger out in the world is my most sacred practice because as an empath, this is my fierce love for humanity.
Anger is my love language.
Because the world is uncomfortable with anger, doesn’t mean I have to be.
Because the world is silent on anger, it just means I need to get louder.
With your stronger no, there is more peace.
With your stronger no, there is more play.
For your feminine to feel safe to come out and BLOSSOM, a foundation of the healthy masculine has to be there.
IN THE COFFIN was a song I produced out of anger as I’ve been tapping to a deep inner rage.
There is a very primal side to us.
For my Black & African brothers, to become a KING you have to realize your Killer Instincts Never Go.
The way into the heart is to feel your rage.
For thousands and thousands of years our Ancestors had to continuously hunt for food. That was where they brought their aggression.
Find food for my wife and child or they die. Also the Lioness does the hunting for their cubs so this is in women too!
These primal hunter instincts are trained in our nervous systems, in our DNA, and in our blood which means it isn’t going to go away anytime soon so you mine as well learn to work with this part of yourself colonialism shames.
Learn to work with your anger through art, play, sports, a physical practice like boxing, and yelling into a pillow. ( I used a shirt in the video).
