When we’re experiencing anxiety, our nervous system is out of whack for a variety of reasons - grief, lack of sleep, the astrology, shallow breathing, people pleasing, etc…
Often times what’s underneath the anxiety is shame, and what is underneath shame is the story of
“I am not worthy of love.”
In the 11 min interactive talk, I share from my own healing journey a practice on how I can “ground” myself or relax my nervous system.
Grounding (as I see it) is developing the awareness and feeling my body being supported by the floor underneath me (or Earth).
When we can relax the nervous system, we can open a channel to rewrite stories that prevent us from our fullest expression. The expression of the healthy masculine and healthy feminine integrated within us.
This is critical for us who identify as Black and African because we’re releasing the white savior complex and reclaiming our creativity.
