The Ancestors are waiting on you

“We’re waiting on you.”
This is what I heard as I was in prayer before writing this. (I always pray before writing and sending it out that one person is impacted).
I have this belief that The Ancestors are always whispering to us.
There is this divine guidance that helps redirect us back to our purpose.
There is your purpose under colonialism.
There is also your purpose in helping to create the ANCIENT FUTURE.
The ANCIENT FUTURE is our initiation as spiritual warriors to bring back the Ancestral ways to now.
If you’re like me, you question all the time about if you’re in alignment with God’s purpose for you.
The cosmic joke is that all it takes is surrender to get back into alignment.
Surrender = Rest
Resting for the African collective is just hard for us.
How do we rest in this divine guidance when we’ve never been taught HOW TO rest?
This is my own mind talking out loud and then I take a deep breath into my heart.
I rest in the truth of who I am and who I know how my Ancestors’ see me.
I am a teacher. I am a prophet. I am here to make a big cultural impact on how we think about healing to make it mainstream.
What if we all thought that way about ourselves? This reality would be very different for our children and families.

They are waiting for you to lean on them for strength.
You just need to trust you have a divine connection to them.
I can show you the door and it’s really up to you to walk through it.
You are your own savior.
As we remember this truth, we begin to see how critical it is for us to continue leaning into our hearts and faith in this moment.
With a big mission, we need big support.
This is why I’m emphasizing the restoration of the village, in a new and fresh way. (hence ANCIENT FUTURE).
When I make music, it’s a prayer. All of our lives are really prayers for what we want to see exist.
The more intentional we become in our creativity, the more our reality begins to shift.
This is what I’ve learned in this humbling journey called life.
When I think I know, I really don’t.
All I can do is breath and trust that I can hear THE ANCESTORS’ WHISPERS.
Here are a few other ways to listen clearer:
Find time to spend out in nature without your cellphone. Listen to the birds singing and the wind against the trees. Allow the sun hit your bare skin and receive the energetic recharge. At night when you can’t sleep get up and go for a walk. Look up at the stars and moon with wonder and curiosity asking “How did my Ancestors look at life?”
If you listen to guided meditations, focus on body scans. This helps listen better to your body. Pain and tension is actually are inner child trying to yell out to us. Usually where there is pain there is anger and grief.
Learn about Ancient African Spirituality. Out of Darkness is great informative documentary.
