Black men re-indigenizing themselves

In this 5-minute video (full cut below) 4 chiefs-in-training (including one of our elders - AGee!) came together around the virtual campfire to share stories from the heart and heal our inner child.
This was a very last minute experiment.
We decided the day of on Monday June 11th that we would gather and stream on Twitch us sharing our hearts with the world.
My dream is to grow the chiefs-in-training that we are bringing around the campfire to give men and our youth the rites of passage to manhood that we are missing.
It’s the lack of rites of passage that has stunted our emotional development.
Even though we have a lot of male bodies walking around in these adult suits, they actually aren’t men. They are hurt little boys.
A man protects.
A man guides.
A man leaves wisdom and resources for the next 7 generations.
A man has no problem sharing his heart with the world.
An African man has no problem roaring to the European colonizer - even physically!
I have yet to see this embodiment in anyone and I recognize I need other chiefs-in-training to sharpen me to continue embodying the CHIEF. Iron sharpens iron, man sharpens man.

There are plenty of Black and African men ready to heal AND we need the village to fund this effort. We can’t keep waiting for reparations that actually won’t even repair the psychological damage of slavery on us. We have to heal ourselves.
